Rezerwat przyrody Kullaberg /Kullaberg Nature Reserve

Kullaberg to nazwa grzbietu górskiego oraz Rezerwatu Przyrody leżącego na półwyspie Kullen w północno-zachodniej Skanii. Na północnym zachodzie opada dramatycznie do morza nad cieśniną Sund, a na południowym wschodzie kończy się w okolicach miejscowości Arild. Kullaberg ma długość ok 8 km, a najwyższy punkt Håkull ma 187,5 m npm. Wzdłuż całego rezerwatu wyznaczono kilka tras o długości kilkunastu km, zwanych Kullaleden. Na końcu półwyspu stoją 2 latarnie morskie, z czego jedną możemy zwiedzać. Leży ona bardzo blisko dużego parkingu oraz zaraz obok Centrum Informacji Naturum. Na półwyspie znajduje się też ponad 20 jaskiń (np Lahibiagrottan lub Silvergrottan), które są dostępne jedynie z poziomu morza. Wszystkie są łatwo dostępne jeżeli mamy łódkę, a jeżeli chcemy do nich dojść z lądu, to wymaga to niełatwego zejścia w dół po skalistym wybrzeżu.

Mniej więcej w połowie półwyspu, na południowo-zachodnim wybrzeżu leży bardzo bardzo malownicza miejscowość Mölle, a trochę dalej zamek i ogrody Krapperup. Dużą część północnej części półwyspu zajmują też pola golfowe. Na północno-wschodnim wybrzeżu leży Nimis, czyli bardzo specyficzne dzieło sztuki autorstwa Larsa Vilksa. Nimis to wielkie drewniane konstrukcje – wieże, wybudowane bezprawnie na skalistym wybrzeżu 1980 roku. Od tego czasu ciągnie się proces sądowy przeciwko artyście, który mimo to, odbudował części dzieła po pożarze w 2016 roku. Do Nimis jeszcze nie udało się nam dotrzeć, bo trasa jest podobno bardzo trudna, ale stoi na naszej must-do list!

Ostatni raz odwiedziliśmy Kullaberg jeszcze w czasach bezdzietnych. Trasy na półwyspie są dosyć trudne i absolutnie nie do pokonania z wózkiem. Teraz kiedy wózka już nie używamy, mogliśmy odwiedzić ten bardzo malowniczy zakątek ponownie. Musimy jednak przyznać, że zapomnieliśmy jak bardzo trudne są to trasy. My zaplanowaliśmy spacer poprzez lasy i pastwiska spod Naturum do Ransvik (ok 3 km), a powrót już prostą drogą (ok 2 km). Aż trudno uwierzyć, że te 3 km szliśmy prawie 2 godziny 🙂 Ale musimy do tego doliczyć przerwy na podziwianie widoków, przekąski, nadrabianie trasy, żeby ominąć poirytowane stado krów oraz fakt, że w pewnym miejscu trochę się pogubiliśmy. Były strome podejścia pod górkę i nie mniej wymagające zejścia w dół. Tomek musiał trochę pomagać Adasiowi, bo ciężko było dla małych stopek.

Nagrodą za wysiłek był pyszny obiad w restauracji w Ransvik. Całe szczęście, że nie zarezerwowaliśmy stolika, bo dotarliśmy tam godzinę później niż planowaliśmy. W Ransvik jedzenie jest pyszne i ekologiczne, ale porcje niezbyt duże (Gabrysia po zjedzeniu talerza spaghetti była bardzo niezadowolona, że nie może dostać kolejnej porcji). Restauracja jest położona bardzo malowniczo tuż nad woda, więc po zjedzeniu mogliśmy odpocząć na plaży. Całość doświadczenia popsuł nam niestety fakt, że jedzenie trzeba zamawiać w kasie, gdzie kolejka była na pół godziny stania, a toalety są przy parkingu, kilkadziesiąt metrów wyżej. Trochę kiepsko organizacyjnie.

Powrót do samochodu poszedł nam już sprawnie, bo szliśmy wzdłuż drogi, a więc bez krówek, skał i niespodzianek. Trochę żałowaliśmy, że nie wyjechaliśmy wcześniej rano z domu, bo moglibyśmy spędzić więcej czasu w Naturum, bez stresu, że trzeba się spieszyć na lancz, bo dzieci za chwile padną z głodu 🙂 Poza tym na pewno wrócimy, żeby zobaczyć Nimis, ale chyba niekoniecznie w tym sezonie.

Kullaberg is the name of a mountain ridge and Nature Reserve lying on the Kullen peninsula in northwestern Skåne. In the north-west it drops dramatically into the sea over the Sound, and in the south-east it ends near a village called Arlid. Kullaberg is about 8 km long and the highest point of Håkull is 187,5 m above sea level. Several routes called Kullaleden have been created along the entire reserve. At the end of the peninsula there are two lighthouses, one of which you can visit. It stands very close to the large parking lot and right next to the Naturum Information Center. There are more than 20 caves (e.g. Lahibiagrottan or Silvergrottan) on the peninsula, which are only accessible from sea level. They are all easily accessible if you have a boat, but if you want to get to them from land, be prepared for a difficult descent down the rocky coast.

Around the middle of the peninsula, on the south-west coast, lies the very picturesque town of Mölle, and a little further away the Krapperup castle and gardens. Golf courses occupy a large part of the northern part of the peninsula. On the north-east coast lies Nimis, a very specific work of art by Lars Vilks. Nimis are large wooden structures – towers, built illegally on the rocky coast in 1980. Since then, there has been a lawsuit against the artist, who nevertheless rebuilt parts of the work after the fire in 2016. We haven’t reached Nimis yet, because the route is apparently very difficult, but it is on our must-do list!

Last time we visited Kullaberg was before we had children. The routes on the peninsula are quite difficult and absolutely not accessible with a stroller. Now that we no longer use a stroller, we could visit this very picturesque place again. However, we must admit that we have forgotten how difficult these tracks are. We planned a walk through the forests and pastures from Naturum to Ransvik (about 3 km), and return on a paved road (about 2 km). It’s hard to believe that it took us almost 2 hours to cover these 3 km 🙂 But we had to add breaks to admire the views, indulge in snacks, make a detour to get past an irritated herd of cows and the fact that we got lost a little bit in one place. There were steep uphill climbs and not so easy descents downhill. Tomek had to help Adaś a little, as it was a tough route for small feet.

The reward for the effort was a delicious lunch at a restaurant in Ransvik. Fortunately, we didn’t book a table because we got there an hour later than planned. In Ransvik, the food is delicious and organic, but the portions are not very large (Gabrysia after eating a plate of spaghetti was very unhappy that she could not get another one). The restaurant is located very picturesquely right above the water, so after eating we could relax on the beach. The whole experience was unfortunately a bit spoiled by the fact that food must be ordered at the cash register, and the line was a half an hour, and the toilets are by the car park, several dozen meters above. Not the best set up.

The return to the car went smoothly, because we were walking along the road, so without cows, rocks and surprises. We regretted a bit that we didn’t leave home earlier in the morning, because we could have spent more time in Naturum, without the stress that we have to hurry to the lunch place, because the children will starve 🙂 Besides, we will definitely come back to see Nimis, but probably not necessarily this season.
